Why SS Sealer Stripper?
- Industrial strength: cuts through thick or multi-coat acrylic sealer films and curing compounds that resist standard cleaners
- Biodegradable formula: safer for surrounding vegetation and waterways when used per label directions
- Ready-to-use: no mixing, no thinning — pour, brush, dwell, and pressure-wash off
- Versatile: also lifts tile and carpet adhesives, fog paints, and graffiti from hardscape surfaces
- Vertical-rated: apply to columns, walls, and retaining-wall faces, not just slabs
- Sets up the next coat: a clean strip lets your fresh sealer bond evenly without blotchy adhesion
Application
- Read the label and SDS before starting. Test in an inconspicuous area to confirm desired results.
- Saturate vegetation before and after application to dilute any overspray.
- Apply to dry pavers in small areas (no larger than 10 sq ft at a time) using a brush at approximately 200 sq ft / gallon.
- Wait 10 minutes for the stripper to soak in and soften the coating.
- Pressure-wash with a medium (yellow) nozzle. Start at 4″ elevation and move closer until the sealer turns white and peels off the surface. Difficult areas may need a second treatment — sealer can re-adhere if not completely removed.
- Always re-clean with SRW PW Paver Wash or DW Dual Wash before applying a new sealer — pressure-washing alone drives dirt deeper into pores and prevents proper bond.
What Not to Use It On
- Plastic, plastic-composite materials, rubber, or fiberglass
- Stamped concrete
- Metal — prolonged contact may etch or damage finishes
Safety
Wear eye protection and rubber gloves when applying. Avoid prolonged contact with skin, metal, or plant foliage. Keep out of reach of children. For full chemical, application, and safety information, see the SS Sealer Stripper Technical Data Sheet and Safety Data Sheet.
