Description

Lock loose decorative stone in place with the SRW Rock Binder. This water-based polymer binder pours on clear, soaks into the gaps between gravel and pebbles, and dries to a flexible bond that resists kick-out, washout, and weed growth — all without changing the natural color of the stone. Ideal for landscape borders, dry creek beds, paver edges, planter accents, and decorative gravel walkways where you want the look of loose rock without the maintenance.

Vendor: SRW Products · Available in: 1 Gallon bottle

What It’s For

  • Decorative gravel borders: hold loose 1/4”–3/4” gravel along walkways, planting beds, and patio edges
  • Dry creek beds: stabilize river rock and pebble accents so they stay where you placed them
  • Paver shoulders: bind the loose gravel skirt that runs along paver patios and walkways
  • Planter pebble accents: lock decorative top-dressing in container plantings and raised beds
  • Tree-ring mulching alternatives: hold a stone collar around tree bases without annual reapplication

Why SRW Rock Binder?

  • Dries clear: water-based polymer leaves no glossy or tinted residue — the rock looks like rock, not coated
  • Flexible bond: the cured film flexes with thermal cycling so the bound stone doesn’t crack or pop in summer/winter swings
  • Permeable: water passes through bound stone, so puddling and ice damage stay low
  • Resists weed growth: the bonded gravel layer makes it harder for windborne seeds to take hold
  • Easy single-bottle application: no mixing, no kits — pour, soak in, walk away
  • Long pot life: seal partially-used bottles and finish the job another day

Application

  1. Test in an inconspicuous area first to confirm desired clear-dry results.

  3. Apply directly to the stone surface per label dilution — pour, watering-can, or low-pressure sprayer.
  4. Soak in: let the binder penetrate the stone bed and reach the contact points between stones.
  5. Cure: protect from rain, foot traffic, and irrigation per the Tech Data Sheet’s cure window.
  6. Repeat on areas with deeper stone beds or where additional bond strength is needed.

Tips

  • Apply in dry, mild weather — protect from rain during the cure window
  • Best on bare, dry stone — sealed or wet substrates won’t bond properly
  • Wear gloves and eye protection when applying
