A ribbed beehive-shaped body of colored recycled glass has a funnel opening in the bottom, a cork stopper on top and a black wire bail handle for hanging from a post or branch. Baited with sweetened juice, wasps, yellow jackets and hornets fly in through the funnel and cannot find their way back out, while honeybees stay uninterested. It is reusable season after season and a pesticide-free way to manage a patio. Sold per trap in assorted colors: orange, green, purple or pink.

How to Use It
Pull the cork stopper and pour in a few inches of sugar water, sweetened fruit juice or soda, or drop in a small piece of meat early in the season when wasps hunt protein. Replace the cork and hang the trap by its wire handle from a branch, shepherd’s hook or deck post 15 to 20 feet away from the table so wasps are drawn away from people. Wasps enter the bottom funnel and cannot find the way out. Every few days, take it down, empty it, rinse it and add fresh bait. Bring it in before frost.
