Description
Brighten a bare wall with the Sunset Vista Designs Glass Gardens Gilded Sun Wall Decor. Layered wavy metal rays in copper-brown and gold tones radiate from a round center of orange glass, and black wire scrollwork laid over the glass gives the face of the sun an old-world look. The gilded finish warms up in daylight and the glass picks up color when the sun hits it. About 16" across and just 1" deep, it hangs flat on a fence, garden wall, porch post or indoor accent wall.
Key Features
- Gilded wavy rays: Layered metal rays in copper-brown and gold tones catch the light.
- Orange glass center: A round glass disc glows when daylight passes over it.
- Black wire scrollwork: A wire scroll overlay on the glass adds detail to the face of the sun.
- Indoor or outdoor: About 16" across and 1" deep, from the Glass Gardens collection.
- Sunset Vista Designs: A family-run outdoor decor company that has been designing whimsical garden art, wind chimes and hanging decor for garden centers since the 1990s.
How to Hang It
Hang it on a sturdy nail or screw on a fence, shed wall, garden gate, porch post or an indoor wall near a window. Choose a spot where afternoon light reaches the glass so the orange center glows, and keep it flat against the surface so the rays do not catch the wind. Wipe the metal with a soft dry cloth and clean the glass with a damp cloth as needed. It is made for indoor and outdoor use, but bringing it in before ice storms and hard freezes will keep the glass and gilded finish looking new. Pair it with other Sunset Vista Designs Glass Gardens pieces and metal wall art for a coordinated look.
A Thoughtful Gift
Sun faces are a classic housewarming, birthday or Mother’s Day gift, and this one suits patios, sunrooms and kitchens alike. It arrives ready to hang and needs no power, so it is easy to give and easy to place.
