Feeding Directions
To balance pasture, hay, or an unfortified grain diet, feed 0.5 to 0.75 lb a day at 600 lb of body weight, 0.75 to 1 lb at 900 lb, 1 to 1.5 lb at 1,100 lb, and 1.5 lb at 1,300 lb; give weanlings 0.5 to 0.75 lb and yearlings about 1 lb. Cut those amounts roughly in half when you are topping off a reduced serving of fortified feed. These rates assume your horse also eats at least 1.5 to 2% of body weight in hay or pasture daily. Provide salt and plenty of fresh, clean water at all times, store the bag cool and dry, and discard any feed that is old, moldy, or insect damaged.
Caution: Follow label directions. Chromium supplementation should not exceed 4 mg per day, and feeding added selenium above 0.30 ppm of the total diet is prohibited. Contains added copper — do not feed to sheep.
