Feeding Directions
To supplement hay or pasture, feed an 1,100 lb horse 4 to 6 lb per day. To use it as a full hay replacement, feed that same horse 15 to 20 lb per day, scaled up or down with body weight and workload. Mix it with water when you want to add hydration, or blend it into the grain portion of the meal to slow the rate of intake. Provide salt and plenty of fresh, clean water at all times. Store the bag somewhere cool and dry, examine the forage daily, and do not use it if it is old, moldy, or contaminated with insects.
