Each 50 lb bag holds 12% protein, just 3% fat, and 20% fiber, with dietary starch at 5.3% and ESC sugars at 4.2%, so you can hand a metabolic or laminitis-prone horse a small daily meal and still cover its nutrient requirements.

Feeding Directions
Match the rate to body weight and keep forage in front of the horse. Feed 1 to 2.5 lb per day at 600 lb, 1.5 to 3 lb at 900 lb, 2 to 4 lb at 1,100 lb, and 3.5 to 5 lb at 1,300 lb, always alongside 9 to 26 lb of hay or pasture across that same weight range. This is the right feed for a horse that tends to get heavy or is currently getting less than 4 lb of grain a day. If it takes more than 5 lb per day to hold body condition, move the horse onto a Triple Crown performance or senior feed instead. Provide salt and plenty of fresh, clean water at all times, store the bag cool and dry, and inspect it daily — discard any that is old, moldy, or insect damaged.
Caution: Follow label directions. Do not feed more than 5 lb of Triple Crown Lite per day; chronic excess minerals or vitamins can harm your horse. Feeding added selenium above 0.30 ppm in the total diet is prohibited, and fed as directed this product stays under 3 mg of added selenium per head per day. This product contains added copper — do not feed it to sheep.
