Description

Get on top of pink eye before it moves through the herd. Vetericyn Antimicrobial Pink Eye Spray is a pH-balanced, hypochlorous acid-based solution built specifically for livestock eyes showing signs of conjunctivitis, abrasions, or irritation. The stream nozzle lets you flush an eye from a working distance in a chute or headgate, so treatment takes seconds per head. No prescription is required, and there is no mixing or dilution — set the nozzle, spray, and let the animal blink it in.

The formula contains no alcohol, steroids, or antibiotics, which means no withdrawal period and no restrictions on food-producing animals or animals raised for human consumption. It treats and relieves eyes suffering from conjunctivitis and other irritations, reduces discharge and drainage, and flushes away pollutants and foreign material. An Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine study of lactating cows with bovine conjunctivitis found significant reductions in pain scores and lesion size using this spray.

How to Use

Set the nozzle to the stream setting and wipe away any excess matter collected in the corner of the eyes. Spray directly into each eye and allow the animal to blink. Spray again on a slight downward angle toward the nose to flush the eye, letting the animal blink, then spray directly into the eye once more. Repeat in the other eye even if no irritation is present. When possible, repeat twice daily until the condition clears. If the condition persists or worsens, consult your veterinarian.

No. There is no withdrawal period, and the spray is safe for food-producing animals and animals raised for human consumption.
It is intended for superficial use with an intact cornea. Because it is a hypotonic solution, only your veterinarian can determine whether it is safe to use on a damaged cornea.
There is no concern about animals building resistance, which is a real issue in the livestock industry. Repeated and extended use has no adverse consequences, and regulatory limits on antibiotic use do not apply to Vetericyn Plus products.
Do not apply an antibiotic cream or other eye ointment before the Pink Eye Spray. There are no known contraindications; if you are using an additional product, wait at least 60 seconds after treating with the spray.
It can freeze and thaw without losing effectiveness. A frozen bottle may leak from expansion, the walls may collapse after thawing, or you may see evidence of ice in the solution.
No. The slight chlorine odor comes from a proprietary amount of Free Active Chlorine measured in parts per million, which is not enough to cause stinging when applied.
