A durable neoprene shell wraps the cannon and cushions the leg, and a layer of genuine suede padding sits right over the splint bone where a strike does the most damage. Three adjustable hook and loop straps go on and off in seconds and hold the boot in place through schooling, trail rides, lunging and turnout. Sold per pair in Black, Blue or Turquoise in Small, Medium and Large.

How to Use

Fit the boot so the suede pad sits on the inside of the cannon over the splint bone, with the straps fastening toward the back of the leg and the strap ends pointing rearward. Fasten the middle strap first, then the top and bottom, snug enough that the boot does not slide but loose enough to slip a finger under. Match the boot to your horse's cannon: Small for ponies and small horses, Medium for most horses around 15 to 16 hands, Large for big-boned horses over 16 hands. Rinse after muddy rides, let the neoprene air dry away from direct sun, and brush the hook and loop clean so it keeps gripping.

The suede pad goes on the inside of the leg over the splint bone, and the straps wrap toward the back of the leg so the ends point rearward. That way a strike cannot peel a strap open.
They are designed for the front legs. Weaver makes separate hind boots and bell boots if you need rear protection.
Rinse or hose off mud, hand wash with mild soap if needed, and air dry out of direct sun. Keep the hook and loop free of hair so it keeps gripping.
